Allie Walsh is the manager of the Nestle Toll House Café/Haagen Dazs store at Oak Park Mall, but she’s also the chief cookie decorator. Working from a photo or just her imagination (or yours), she’ll design something so cool, the kids at the birthday party may stare in awe, forgetting there’s yummy cookie under all the colorful frosting. The St. Paul Winter Carnival is the nation's largest and oldest winter festival. This year's festival continues the tradition, unseasonably warm weather has forced the cancellation of several events. Traditional to the festival is the the ice carving contest, which will still go on in downtown St. Paul. The Winter Carnival runs through Feb. 5.
